Beautiful Stained Glass Windows/Items Made By Richard Pelham in Somerset
I have been teaching stained glass evening class courses at Strode College since 2001. These have been 20 hours over 10 weeks with the aim of teaching the skills to complete an A4 sized leaded panel. These are on the Wednesday & Thursday evening during term time. To book see www.strode-college.ac.uk
Stained Glass is an enjoyable and satisfying hobby to learn as there are many items that can be made with glass e.g. boxes, candle holders, lanterns, lampshades, sculptural pieces as well as windows and window hangers.
I have set up a series of 1 day courses in Glastonbury and Taunton at weekends. On Saturday 23th May in Glastonbury, I will cover the applique method of making a window e.g. sticking coloured glass on to a clear glass panel – minimal cutting for quick results.

Other Saturdays in Glastonbury are:-
13/6….... Construction of a small leaded panel with straight line cutting using traditional techniques.
1/8…........ A window hanger using copper foil construction. 3D butterflies and Dragonflies included.
12/9….... Mirrors:- freestanding or hanging – using applique, lead or foil methods.
10/10…..... 3D Candle holders:- indoor or outdoor for a verity of different sized candles.
14/11….....Simple lampshades or lanterns using copper foil construction. Can include terrariums.
12/12…....... Christmas decorations – angels, stars etc.
